What to Expect | Kelowna Family & Motherhood Photography

Sessions with me are raw, real, and full of love—just like your family. I’m a Kelowna photographer who specializes in capturing connection, emotion, and the perfectly imperfect beauty of your everyday chaos. If you're looking for posed perfection, this might not be your thing—and that’s okay! But if you want images that feel like you, you’re in the right place.

We’ll grab a few of those classic “look at the camera and smile” shots, but most of our time will be spent playing, laughing, and loving on your people. I’ll guide you with gentle, natural posing while encouraging authentic interaction and emotion.

Outdoor sessions are typically held during golden hour—about 1–2 hours before sunset—to make the most of that dreamy, soft light. (Midday sessions are available upon request for Maternity and Motherhood!) Studio sessions are scheduled mid-morning to mid-afternoon for the best indoor lighting. Standard sessions run about an hour, while mini sessions are short and sweet—around 20-30 minutes long.

Get ready to move, cuddle, kiss, twirl, play airplane, and give piggyback rides. You’ll be holding your babies close and soaking them in—because these moments don’t last forever. What’s Included in Every Photography Package | Kelowna Photographer

All of my photography packages—whether for maternity, newborn, motherhood, baby, or family sessions—include everything you need for a relaxed, beautiful experience and timeless images you'll cherish forever.

Every session includes:

• Professionally edited digital images delivered via a private online gallery for easy viewing and high-resolution download (proof galleries for mini sessions are watermarked).
• Session planning and time with me, your Kelowna-based photographer, dedicated to capturing authentic, emotive moments.
• Travel within the Kelowna area is included. Locations outside of Kelowna will be subject to a $0.72/km travel fee (each way) to account for fuel and travel time.
• Styling and preparation guidance, including a detailed Welcome Guide to help you feel confident and prepared for your session (coming soon!).
• Flexible pre-payment plans available. A non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your session, with the remaining balance due by the session date.
• Access to my curated Client Closet, offering select wardrobe pieces to complement your session (it's small for now, but growing!).
• Thoughtful location scouting to find the perfect spot that matches my natural, storytelling photography style, complements sunset lighting, and pairs beautifully with your wardrobe choices. (I typically avoid shooting lakeside for personal style and lighting reasons.)
